Each seat, no matter the form of ride, is $59.99 plus tax & fees for our daily tours. Holiday Express tour tickets are $49.99 for ages 13 & up and $39.99 for ages 0-12. See our Promotions & Discounts page for current promotions on select dates and for arranging a tour for a group of 20 or more passengers.
Tours leave daily at 8:30AM, 11AM, 1:30PM and 4PM every day through November 15th. Tours leave daily at 9:30AM, 12PM, and 2:30PM November 16th-January 2nd. Holiday Express tours depart daily at 5PM and 7PM November 16th-January 2nd . You must be at the Depot 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time for mandatory safety instructions.
All tours leave from the Andrews Train Depot in Andrews, North Carolina.
There are four options for riding the rails at Andrews Valley Rail Tours: The Railbikes, The Passenger Cart, the Fairmont Experience and The Choo-Choo.
Our Railbikes are electric pedal-assisted, similar to e-bikes, and require light pedaling by all riders. A RailBike is the optimal way to tour Andrews Valley, if you’re able. There’s nothing like the open air and unobstructed view of the mountains and river.

The Cart Ride offers captain’s chairs that swivel and have armrests. This is a great option for children (4 years old and older) accompanied by an adult, passengers with limited mobility, or for groups who want to be able to hold conversations during the trip.

We have three Fairmont Speeders which seat 2-4 passengers in each. Perfect for train enthusiasts, this non-pedaling rail tour offers a front-row seat to North Carolina’s scenic beauty.

The Choo-Choo Speeder Ride is our compact gas-powered speeder and offers a true “railroad” experience for riders with its locomotive-like appearance. You’ll ride alongside our Choo-Choo driver.
